No church tomorrow!

This big East Coast blizzard is accomplishing something that's only happened a couple of times in the entire 17-year history of our church - we're having to call off Sunday services. From the beginning we considered services too important to call off unless things were so bad the authorities were asking people to stay off the roads. Well, that's the situation now. Plus, as a small church, there's just no way we could get the parking lot cleared since the snow isn't expected to stop coming down until late Saturday night. Actually, I think a lot of our folks are probably heaving a sigh of relief that they won't have to dig themselves out on Sunday morning in order to make it to church.

Oh yes, it is much too bad out there from what I have been seeing Ronald. I am sure it will be fine by next weekend.

We had a contractor offer to clear our lot of snow for $850. Rather than pay that, I'm hoping we'll have nice warm weather so that by next week all the snow will be gone!

@RonElFran That is a hefty chunk of money for the snow plowing, better to be thrifty and wait til the snow is gone yes Ronald.

I'm sure people will be pleased not to have to brave the foul conditions. I'm sure they will be disappointed too but some things are barely worth the risk.
