A Time of Decision

I found this thought that I wrote several years ago, intriguing enough to consider today for a post. “Every circumstance has limitations, but we are not trapped between do or die.” Have you ever felt that you had to make a decision about something that was so difficult that you weren’t sure which way to go? You felt that if you decided one way, there would be several complications with which you would have to contend and it wouldn’t be pleasant. On the other hand, if you decided for the opposite course, there would be other complications. So, neither circumstance would be the perfect solution. I think we are often faced with difficult decisions in life and sometimes we have to deal with consequences no matter which way we decide, but we have no choice but to decide, one way or the other. It’s especially difficult, if it involves other people, who will be affected by your decision. It could involve a child or a parent who needs assistance. It could involve your spouse or a close friend. I have found that prayer really helps when making difficult decisions. There is a scripture that I often consider, which says: “…that to earthling man his way does not belong. It does not belong to man who is walking even to direct his step.” (Jeremiah 10:23) So we haven’t been given the capability to make certain decisions on our own. We need God’s direction and HE will give us direction, if we ask for it. Keep this in mind, the next time you have a difficult decision to make. Let God’s direction help you to make the best decision possible. I hope you have a wonderful day and a great weekend.

God has all the answers to any problem we may face. He knows the solutions no matter what the situation is. Prayer is powerful. Never underestimate the power of prayer.
