Or will be as soon as the last four criminals still there feel the shackles on their wrists, probably later today. They will join their wrongheaded companions in the federal lockup in Portland, Oregon and be charged with felony federal crimes. The charges so far don't seem enough to me, something like "interfering with a federal officer's ability to perform his duty." I am hoping that additional charges are added, with longer prison time. An example needs to be made of these people to deter others contemplating trying to take over publicly owned lands in any state. It is unfortunate that one of these outlaws chose to resist and lost his life. But, he had said that he would never go to prison and made a number of bad choices. I can't help recalling the old song "I fought the law and the law won."

i've heard various sides'f this - both from locals 'n other ranchers. i agree, they crossed the line when they took o'er the place. no doubt, more charges'll be added once they're all rounded up 'n their tales told.

Last I heard four are holding out and don't want to do the time since they did the crime. What fools.

I think making an example of them is what they want. I say, do not identify them or put their pictures in the news, just refer to them as perp #1, perp #2, etc.

They already made sure their names were known, giving interviews to all media who showed up to cover their revolting occupation of public lands. I hope long prison terms await.

When they do things like this then the law will not be lenient with them.
