Paint the sky challenge

I've been able to enjoy some beautiful sunsets over the past couple of days, thanks to the "paint the sky challenge." I thought I'd throw my favorite sunset photo into the mix. I know I've used it before, but it remains one of my favorites. I took it from the Inspiration Point Trail, in Tilden Park, between Berkeley and Orinda CA. I believe it was taken a year ago in late December, when the sun happens to set behind the Golden Gate Bridge. I've watched the sun set many times from this trail, but on this day, the clouds were perfect for a dramatic display. If you click on the picture, you can clearly see the Golden Gate Bridge in the near distance.

Wow, that's got to be one of the best I've seen in this challenge. Absolutely beautiful, and the bridge gives it an extra something.

It's one of the prettiest sunsets I've seen. The clouds were striking that day. I'm glad I happened to bring my camera. Sometimes I don't.

I love the swirls of color in the sky. Our sky swirls are usually pinks and blues not so much, yellow and red. It looks sinister.

I like seeing the Golden Gate bridge. I'll be avoiding San Francisco and Santa Clara tomorrow, though. Super Bowl is here.
