They thought I was Sick

Hello Lotters Just yesterday my mom was busy with her other commitments, she didn't attend her choir practice. But later her members decided to visit and some decided to help her organize things. One member was shock about my weight loss that she thought i got sick or something. I told her i don't believe her because I can still see my belly, but she had not visit the house for a while and I had more belly last year. But i told her about this uric acid problem and it was doc who strictly told me to loose weight. Though she did advise me that not eating after six really works, the shock on her eyes really bewildered me. Well, from time to time I check myself on the weight scale and it didn't make quite the difference. I couldn't even get close 180, am not using electronic weight scale so i don't think it's malfunctioning or lowbat. Maybe I'm pressured because I thought i could loose 30 pounds in a month. Looks impossible to me now. time to exercise again Any advice on how to further loose weight with out having this YO-YO effect? Thanks and have a nice day.

I have to lose weight too as I'm having an operation later this year. I have cut out most of the sugar and am just having smaller portions- hard when you love a little chocolate and dessert. hahaha!

Hello @MarymargII well, I've actually lessened the consumption of it for the moment and see if this is a good way to loose way weight the next coming months.

A well-balanced diet can do the trick. I also gained weight these past few months. But I managed to walk from my house to the town proper in the afternoon. I think it is also fine to walk in late afternoon, since the weather is cool and swept of the air is not that hot.

Hello @Shavkat Oh, I don't like the weather these days I mean i want to sweat and the weather is too cold for me. in fact, others were shock that I didn't like the cold some how. and my knee still hurt a little.

This is up to you.Do lose or not.do you do any physical work out there? Are you happy with your weight that you have?are you comfortable with it. Then let it be.Just enjoy your life and keep an eye on things.You will be fine.

I want to jog again, and i can't do it because of my weight alone. so far the cycling had been but when ever attempt to exceed my knee starts hurting. It would be a fine to enjoy life out there while jogging. I'm comfortable with what i do, it's not as hard as it used to be like last year. @amadeo

losing weight for me is hard, or maybe to keep when siblings are around, they cook great food :( 30 pounds is a lot

It takes a lot of discipline to even lessen the food intake, because that's how I started. the no rice thing is a myth if you eat too much out of everything, probably try 1/4 of your sibling's dishes into the small bowl. plus, try warm water, that could help with digestion. It was always hard when you don't have the passion to do so @Lucky15 . you don't want to wait for hypertension, heart attack, or even uric acid problem. better prevent them now

Don't forget that a good diet is essential to lose weight. Most people just cut down food thinking that they can quickly lose weight. But studies have actually proven that such a method can actually make you weak. Eating a healthy diet and simultaneous working out is the key to lose weight.

Hello @Scindhia I have literally noticed that, just like that last time when I slept late. well, i had to eat at least half to keep myself from eating more. it's hard to balance already
