Another storm weather warning
We’ll had a 12-hour rest in between storms in the UK. The last 36 hours we’ve had heavy rain and strong winds with many rivers bursting their banks and flooding in many areas. If rivers haven’t already bursted their banks they are dangerously high at doing so.
Over the next 12 or so hours the 9th storm of the winter will be hitting the UK. Currently as I’m trying this post the storm is already here in my part of the UK with heavy rain and winds which could reach up to 80MPH.
It’s been a mild winter but a very wet one, I’ve just not seen so much rain, Ok I’ve never lived in Plymouth before, only ever visited.
I hope the weather is better where you are.
Large parts of Britain are set to be battered by 80mph winds and heavy rain as Storm Imogen sweeps in later today into Monday. The Met Office has issued amber "be prepared" warnings for the South West and yellow "be aware" alerts stretching from southern W

Wow, the winds are strong there. Just stay inside and stay safe, as you could certainly get blown away. Here in Oregon, it is in the 40's and cloudy. I hope we don't get anymore rain, as the ground neds to dry out some as we have had enough already. Although, we have had a few days of dry weather, we certainly could use more of it.

@kevin1877uk I am glad too, but then it has been this way for awhile now, as January was mild too. We are supposed to get almost 70 degrees this week, and I can hardly wait. That would feel like spring for sure. At least then, I won't need to use my heat during the day.

I'm not going anywhere, stay put and not moving apart for getting coffee and food. I hope it's better in the morning when I need to be going into town.

@T_gray It meant to be over night and into tomorrow morning, not sure about the rest of the day though. I'm on that course and have my appointment, busy day tomorrow.

I remember worse years for rain. Also, until they started giving storms names, they were just storms. It's only because we've started personifying them this year that there seem to be so many.

It looks like the storms like to be named, maybe we should stop naming them, then they'll stay away.

Oh no that terrible.
No I'm ok no flooding were I live, hill on a hill however there been flooding around here from that I've here with the river dart I believe burst its banks late yesterday evening.

You have been having so many storms there lately. I hope that they come to an end soon.
We've had such a nice winter, I never ever bored of it actually. Its been unusually mild and dry. I hope that the storm that you get isn't as bad as they forecast, those winds sound strong. Stay safe.
