Why my posts are so long.

I'm aware most of my posts are incredibly long, and that's partly because this is how I relieve stress, I write what I've been holding onto for most of the week. My mind is constantly going and I can't always keep up with all of my thoughts. I rarely talk in person, so this is how I speak. I don't write a ton of posts, I think my max is maybe 5 in a day, and most of them are about things that have been on my mind. I'm really not here for the money. I'm here because I honestly like getting to know the people on here, and I like having a place to talk about what has been going on in my mind and what has been going on in my life, I try not to make my posts about trivial things if I can help it. I love hearing everyone's opinions, because sometimes I can get a different perspective, which is nice to have. I am often able to see things from someone else's perspective, and to hear it from someone else's perspective is pretty amazing, especially when it's something I didn't think of myself. We all view things differently, which is part of why I write here. I don't have to agree with everyone, and they don't have to agree with me, and so far this has been a pretty positive environment, where even those that disagree with me are able to do it in a way without bashing me or making me feel as though my opinion is wrong. That's the nice thing about opinions, they aren't fact. I figured I'd explain my lengthy posts. Some people who knew me from bubblews already knew why my posts are so long. I suffer from anxiety especially social anxiety, and I just can't express myself in person, so I express myself through writing.

The nice thing about longer posts is that you can get a feel for the writer--and I think writing is a wonderful form of self-expression --so write on!

Thank you, I personally like long posts. I find it harder to comment on shorter posts, because sometimes people don't give me enough to comment on. Sometimes I read posts and don't comment because I don't know how to comment on what little they've given me, and I like my comments to have some meaning if I can apart form "That's nice" or "I'm glad you had fun."

As long as you are happy, you can write 50 lengthy discussion threads. I think as long as you are happy, you do not have to mind about us. It is your right to write whatever you want, and it is up to us to choose to read or ignore whatever discussions in display.

Thank you, and I don't mind if people read my posts or not, I do this for me, and because I do like hearing from those who do comment. It's just nice to know I get my thoughts out at the end of the day. I just thought I'd explain myself a little bit.

I believe that sites like MyLot srve a useful purpose for people who need companionship and conversation and having someone to share their random thoughts with. It is so much better than sitting with a computer and just receiving, here we can give and there is so much to learn and enjoy.

More power to you in writing long posts. I have received complaints about long posts. We live in a short attention span world and it's sad people can only read paragraph bites. What happened to reading a long in depth magazine or newspaper article. There is no such thing as too long as long as it's quality so everyone should write to their heart's content and not give a damn about complainers.

I rarely get complaints, and I honestly don't mind if someone wants to just skim what I've written or if they don't have time to read it. To each their own I guess, I just thought I'd explain why it is my posts are so long, because I've noticed most people here don't write long posts. I figure if someone wants to read it they will, and if they don't they don't. Places like FB and Twitter have completely ruined our attention span. We expect a quick read. I like longer in depth posts as long as they do have some meaning.
