Why do companies want to get listed in the stock market? There are just two main reasons for companies to get listed in the stock market. One reason is that the company wants to expand, and needs money to expand. Another reason is that the owner of the company wants to get a return on his investment. If he started a company many years ago with just a thousand dollars, he could become a millionaire or billionaire by selling the bulk of his shares in the stock market. That is why I do not buy IPO. I do not know how well the company will perform after IPO. If the only reason for listing is for the owner to get rich, the company will suffers after listing.
