New Year Celebrations in China

Hi Mylot Friends, China is celebrating their new year on February 8th , according to their tradition and Lunar Calendar each year having different name this year is "Monkey Year". According to that the streets of Beijing capital of China was decorated with flyers and other with red color. Hundreds of people are participated in new year celebrations and dances with Dragon and Lion dances,and thousands of people are watched the new year celebrations

The Chinese New Year is the most important festival for Chinese. In the old custom we will dress new for the new year. And we tend to have a feast during the Chinese New Year. Eating is one of the essential elements of our celebration.

@yugasini Yes,I too read that it is the year of the monkey according to the Chinese Calendar. The Chinese are participating in colorful celebrations of the New Year.
