Random Word Post – discothèque

I find a random word by flipping through my 2003 The New Webster’s Concise Dictionary and write a quick – often silly – little post about it. # “discothèque – A night club or other public place offering recorded music for dancing. French, literally, record library.” I included this word because you don’t hear discothèque all that often. Places like this are usually just called night clubs. Also, the origin is interesting. I’m old enough to remember records, but I don’t know what the young’uns would think of this.
