A glass half full or a glass half empty?

Which one are you? I heard this oftentime and its an expression depicting our perception of the world . If you see the a glass filled with water and you described it as a glass half full then you are a positive thinker, you see things in a positive way but if you view it as a glass half empty then you are more of a pessimist . Do you think its an accurate quick test for how people generally perceived things? And to know about their general outlook in life?
