Not a myLot Glitch, but I'm blocked! Hence no "respond" button.

Was it a few days ago or a week ago? I forgot who - but someone said there may be a glitch on myLot about not being able to "respond" to a discussion. Some said they encountered the same scenario, others said they didn't. And I know I said I encountered it a few times. It may be this same person, I just noticed today but I don't remember. But now I know! I'm blocked! No idea why, as I don't recall ever even writing on their discussion (or maybe it was from a years ago?!) But it seems like if you are blocked - I may be late on this, but you can't respond on their discussions but you can "like", tag, suggest or report still. When I go to their profile page, I cannot see the Follow, Send Message, Block buttons. So, it isn't a myLot glitch but it's because I'm blocked. Have you encountered any discussions where you cannot see the "respond" button? And you can't respond to that discussion?

Oh, I don't mind being blocked but it's time wasted to read their discussion and then you can't comment!

I have one but I am told they have done that to too many for no apparent reason and this one finds out when one decides to respond (lol) We get no notification about this. I wonder why? @GoAskAlex could throw some light may be?

@infatuatedbby I would also like it that way. They also should not be able to see our activity

Thanks! I would like it if we are blocked for whatever reason (I don't mind) but I'd like to be completely blocked and unable to see their discussion so I don't waste more time.

@infatuatedbby For me its still not a waste of time cause for sure you learned something from their discussion --- be it style in writing or knowledge. Its there loss cause they missed the chance to interact with you and to at least earn something.

@mammots Very true! But there posts were very vague.

Yes definitely! It's just a waste of time to be able to see their discussion and then spend that time to read and go to respond (to find out I was blocked).

You are not alone . I too experienced this , only to discover i was blocked by that person . I wondered why , but just let it be , because anyway , you can't please everybody . It must be something i might have said in one of her earlier posts . And she's a very religious person , as my perception of her through her posts .

I do not recall ever commenting to this particular person, but all well ~ their lost, not ours! I agree, we can please everyone and plus it's our opinions. That's why it's a discussion, lol.

I can't see why anyone would block a darling like yourself! If I were blocked I would just laugh it off, it's alright.

Oh, I don't know I am not mad, but now I figured out why I can't respond to the member. I was able to only "like" and other people said it was maybe a myLot glitch? But now I know the answer, ha-ha. I am fine, thank you!!

get that occasionally. It is my browser. When my computer gets warmed up it does some weird things. I turn it off for a few minutes and when I turn it back on it is fine. Also after I use my clean up device I have to re sign in to all my usual sites. It cleans all the temp files, cookies and such.Run faster afterwards too.

I noticed a few times on the same user so I am concluding that I'm blocked though. I will clear my browser, history, etc and see, thank you for the tips!

I do not mind being blocked, or if it was a glitch ~ but time wasted to read someones discussion to find out I can't respond because I'm blocked, lol.

If you are blocked you cannot reply to discussions, nor send a message to the user who blocked you. Anyway some users experienced this problem even if they were not blocked, so I suggest you to contact the Admin.

There has been tons written about this. You don't know someone blocked you until you can't respond to them. I think the block feature is not necessary and its too bad some over use it

@infatuatedbby The only people who like that function is those who are using it. Now you just have to make sure to not open any started by that person.

Yes, I've been blocked by two people that |I know of. Both of them were notorious blockers, doing it to lots of people for no reason. One of them had their account deleted.

No idea why they would go on here just to block people. Glad one of their accounts were deleted. This particular person I have no clue of but I have to remember who so I don't waste time reading their discussions.

I don't mind, if I am blocked or not. Just if I am - I would rather be completely blocked from their discussion so I don't waste time to read and attempt to respond.

I never knew I was blocked either. But I have came across a discussion where I couldn't respond before and I read someone made a post about that .. and it may be a myLot glitch. But really it isn't because I came across a discussion earlier this evening - and I was unable to respond then when I viewed the persons profile I was unable to "Follow, Message, or Block" so it clearly shows I'm blocked from them. No idea why, but all well.
