Career Confusion

United States

I have an MBA in Marketing, and although I really loved studying it, I am not looking to go into Advertising or Sales. I love administration or management. I recently moved to US and I'm trying to work out what line of job or career could I venture myself into. I researched a bit about becoming a Business Analyst, it seems like something I could/would do, and I found out that it needs at least a Bachelor's degree, and a Masters in business or management would be even better. But would my MBA count for that? Or is there some course I will have to do? Does anybody know or have any idea about this? I'd appreciate any help I can get.

I have credentials similar to yours and I have worked as a business analyst and a HR professional. I'm not sure how the degree is treated in the US though.

I think it would work. :) What exactly does it entail to be a Business Analyst? I mean what kind of duties would that include?

@kkaria309 A business analyst gathers , understands and translates the requirements of the clients to the development team. They are the bridge between the client and the team.

If you have a qualification in marketing, just go to work in marketing. You can always get a transfer to other department after you have been there for a year or two. It is easier for an insider to get a job transfer than to get a job that is unrelated to your study.

The state employment office where you live would have a lot of good info for you about careers that you are interested in pursuing.

Sometimes degrees from other countries don't transfer the same way, but you could certainly ask for the institution of your choice to check for you.
