Windows 10

My sister just received an automated recorded phone call claiming that if you install the "gift" of the downloaded Microsoft Windows 10, this will create a backdoor on your computer for "law enforcement agencies" to monitor your internet and computer activities. Albeit this recording might have been produced by opponents or competitors of Microsoft but why does Micosoft then have to refute the allegations. They say that this backdoor is to monitor to better prepare advertisements to gear towards specific clientele. At least that is what was understood from the recording from my sister and I. What does the myLot community think about these Windows 10 allegations?

If something is "free", then you, or information about you, is the product...

I would assume it was a scam.
