Every one knows I'm oldern' dirt and twice as dusty, so I love songs from the 50's, 60's and 70's. All through the 70's and 80's I was a Go-Go Dancer in the night clubs, so dancing was one of my all-time favorite jobs. One of my favorites is "Stay" by Maurice Williams and the Zodiacs. If this song doesn't get your toes a tappin' and up out of a chair, well, I don't know what to tell you.

Oh dang @DianneN . It was a pretty safe job. Bouncers that would throw anybody out who tried to touch you and they walked you to your car. PLUS at that time, it paid $1,000 per week (no taxes). I met a lot of movie stars at that time too; so that was cool. Although a Las Vegas mobster, I didn't like.

@DianneN Mostly Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota. We just had special clients from Vegas that the owners knew well.

I once had a neighbor who was a go go dancer also and made her own costumes. A few of us neighbors went to see her preform her dance with her snake, yes she had a snake. We did have a good time and it was not at all what I exepected.

I knew one dancer that had a snake too @Marcyaz ; creeped me out since I don't like snakes. I had about 10 outfits. Beads, sequins, fringe; you name it. A lady that made the outfits used to come into the club once a month to sell them. They weren't cheap either. I know a lot of people thought those places were sleezy but any I worked in was very nice and we had a packed house every night.

That is a good song. But the version I remember more is the one that Jackson Brown made in the 70's.

I sure as hell feel out of place here, but I listened to your recommendation and loved it, puts me in a happy and relaxed mode.
