Just doing random keyword type research. Typing in random phrases and seeing where it gets me. In 1606 the first recorded execution in the American Colonies was committed. George Kendall was put to death (I have yet to find out how) for spying. He was accused of spying on the British for the Spainards. Seems a little morbid of a thing to search / discuss doesn't it?

Yes, a little morbid to say the least and, he must have been putting people in danger with his spying.
