Grumbling Stomach

My stomach has just started grumbling
Letting me know of it's emptiness and hunger
But it is about another hour til dinner is ready
As it is simmering away on the stove with it's aroma
I did eat lunch late today and wonder why
My stomach is sending hunger signals to my mind
Maybe my nose is aiding in the signaling to the stomach
As whiffs of beef, beans and potatoes fill the air
Still to be added will be the okra and tomatoes
As it takes the least time to be cooked
Just hold on a little longer my stomach
I promise you won't be disappointed.

I hate when my stomach grumbles like that especially in the middle of the night. I don't like to get up and eat when I am sleeping so I just leave it be til morning. I hope your dinner was done soon enough to cure your hunger.

I find the more that I eat, the more I am hungry. If I skip breakfast I am good until 2 p.m. if I eat breakfast by noon I am starving. So weird.!!
