Can you suggest a good topic?

I planned to apply for a teacher in a private catholic school here in my town this coming Monday,I've prepared already my application.If by luck I will be called for a demo teaching,I would like to prepare one as of this time.I'm searching on google but still I'd like to hear some of your suggestion.Anyone who can suggest a good topic,I will be teaching English to high school students..

How about you bring a book that you want to teach the kids about. Night by Eli wiezel I think is the authors name he was a haulocost survicor. You can also go the classic route Shakespeare they can role play in class each student assigned a characters lines to read out loud in class as if they were in a play. Flowers for Algernon another good book because you can talk about the do on to others as you would like done onto you. A child called it about how a child survives abuse and doesn't become consumed with desire for revenge hence the turn a cheek. So many things you could do you have a large variaety of angles you can approach with. Poetry by some of the greats langston hughes,Poe,Frost

@lokisdad You have a good repertoire of ideas and they are all great.Role playing is a fun activity that surely student will enjoy,Sad to say,not yet meet the students,not even pretty sure if there were students in my demo but anyways those ideas of yours will be applied if I will be hired and got to teach those little children.Thank you so much for the ides.

Will they give you a topic to teach?
What is the age group of your students?
I think if you talk about the importance of saving money, that is a good topic. You just have to make the topic interesting.
If not, you can talk about the way to speed up reading and tips to remember the text.

Nope,I will be the one to choose and age range from 13 to 16 years old.
