I wonder what time they will show up?

The city is replacing water meters. They have contracted a company and sent out notices for the residents to book appointments that work for them. Our appointment time is between 9am and 1 pm, so they have a 4 hour window to show up. I am up and dressed, so if they show up in 10 minutes it will be fine, but I wonder what the chances are of him showing at 12:30?

I hate this kind of waiting. You cannot leave your house during the wait, and they may not even turn up by 1 pm. They will say that they are delayed by traffic or whatever.

And I can't do my laundry while they wait. There is plenty of other cleaning to do though.

He or she will probably show up in the last 30 minutes.

That is what we are expecting. We made sure we were prepared if they showed up at 9, but it is after 9:30 and they haven't come yet.

At least the city is covering the cost.
