It is high time for election campaign for the 2016-2021 batch to begin later this month. There are so many speculations on who is going to contest where and which party is going to win. ADMK and Jayalalitha will surely win but, they lost so much respect after the Chennai Floods which rampaged the city in December. No one from the party showed up or helped anyone. It was only the people and a few Hindutva organisations which stood up and helped thousands of people. So, according to me, ADMK will win only with a small margin and BJP has a very good chance to come up second and hold that position and help people more than what they do. If done, they will have a very high chance to win in 2021. There is also a lot of Internal politics with so many parties. That is also one of the main reasons that many liable parties are not at all coming to power and even if they do, they are in the administrative power for a long time.

@alchemistrx You might have heard, India is the world's largest Democracy. Nearly 1 billion voters are there. For the whole India, there is an election called the Parliament election which was last held on 2014. It is to decide the Prime Minister. These elections are to choose the chief Minister of each state.. There are 28 states and each of them have their own Chief Minister. You can't choose all the Chief Ministers at the same time as it would create a Havoc. So, the state elections are kept in many phases.. There is also another major problem if the elections are conducted as a whole. For the parliament elections, the fight is just between 2 or 3 National parties which state parties supporting the National party of their choice. But there are nearly 1000+ political parties in India. So when the state elections are held, there are constituencies with just 500 voters and if 1000+ people contest there, you would know what will happen! I hope you understood the Politics in India!!
