I injured my boyfriend unintentionally, whoops!

I accidentally injured my boyfriend unintentionally today, opps! This afternoon - I ended up driving to places we needed to go and he was in the passenger seat so he can make some calls. After he finished making the calls - he took over and drove because I hate driving. Note: I am probably like 4-5 inches shorter than my boyfriend so when I drive - I sit a lot closer. As he got in - I guess he hit his knee against the car door thing and ended up bleeding a little. (Sorry - I said, and I had my little emergency kit on me that I never used/needed before so it was handy. I had alcohol wipes and a bandaid). Have you ever unintentionally hurt someone?

Thank you! He is fine now. I wonder if he took off the bandaid lol.. I'm sure it'll rip some of his hair on his legs.

whoops! Though isn't he used to having to adjust the seat after you drive? I have an friend turned acquaintance that is two feet shorter than her boyfriend. She's not even five foot, more like 4 ft 5 inches, and her boyfriend is six foot.

I hardly drive that's the thing - so he wasn't used to adjusting the seat. This is the car we share since I sold mine last year. And his actual car - I don't ever drive it because I don't know how to drive a manual. Wow - I wonder how that situation will be like!

@ScribbledAdNauseum All the cars my boyfriend has owned has majority been manual. I learned a few times in the past but I'm afraid of hills and just the concentration for me - I can't balance it. (Or right now I can't). He says it's easy once you get the hang of it but it's just too much coordination for me. Maybe in the future I'll learn again but I hate driving. When I was younger, it was fun but after 10 years - I'm tired of driving lol. Plus - there's so many cars around and the traffic! How do you get around for transportation if you do not have a drivers license? Or do you drive just without one?

@infatuatedbby I can only drive automatic as well. I have a friend who was taught how to drive an automatic at the same time she was taught to drive a manual. I hate driving, don't even have a license but do know how to drive if necessary.

I cannot remember if I have unintentionally hurt someone in the past, but I am pretty sure this happened when I was a kid and we played outdoor.

Oh yes - I believe when I was younger while playing outdoors or even at school during recess. Especially tetherball, I would walk that ball so hard!

I once hit a kid on the head with a stray golf ball at a crazy golf course. That was pretty embarrassing.

Yes, once I was speaking to my brother outside a store and I swung my arm while describing something which I ended up punching the stomach of a woman who passed by. She let out a short scream "OUCH" and I felt incredibly sorry. Thank god she wasn't pregnant.

Oh yes, this reminds me - I was stretching and out of no where my friend popped by. I'm glad the lady wasn't pregnant. I tend to explain with motion and I try to stop due to accidentally hitting my friend before. Hehe.

Wow I can't imagine anything on a door of a vehicle being enough to make someone bleed. I am a lot shorter then Glenn as well. I am 5'4 and he is 6 foot. It depends on where I go if I prefer to drive or not. If it is somewhere I am not familiar with then I am nervous and prefer someone else to drive. I don't like anyone else driving my vehicles though. I am afraid they will wreck and I will have no vehicle or that they will hit someone and my insurance will go up costing me more money each month.

I didn't know a car door can make someone bleed either. But I guess he was so used to getting in that he forgot I sat there first. I don't mind him driving because we have the same insurance company and it's both of our cars we share. He has his own but this is the car I can drive too because it's automatic.

@infatuatedbby I got in my van yesterday and I am usually the only one that ever drives it. Maybe once a year or so someone else borrows it to run over town. This time it was Glenn. He had a flat tire so he used my van to run down to the store for soda. I got in yesterday and my feet were about a foot away from the pedals. I had to use the button to move myself forward so I could reach the gas pedal.

I'm petite, too so I move the seat all the way up. My sister used to say I drive up close and uncomfortably. You are a good girlfriend, patching him up with that first aid kit.

Ouch! But am sure a kiss would have done the trick, faster than band-aid!

No problem. After the bleeding stopped, a kiss would have healed the wound, ASAP, my dear @infatuatedbby ! :)

I am sure I have lots of time. I hit my friends head this weekend. She moved, I moved and bang...we connected. It was purely an accident. We laughed about it, so it was ok

There were a lot of occasions in my childhood where I got hit unintentionally and I hit someone unintentionally as well. There was this instance where my friends were trying to teach me to throw and catch a ball higher (as in cricket fielding practice). I aimed at one friend who was at the far end of the field and threw the ball mustering all my energy. But the ball didn't go in a high curve. It just went straight like a rocket shot and hit another friend who was directly in front of me, on the forehead. There was a golf ball size injury on his forehead for sometime. Thank God I didn't kill him with my killer aim
