Random Word Post – meerschaum

I find a random word by flipping through my 2003 The New Webster’s Concise Dictionary and write a quick – often silly – little post about it. # “meerschaum – 1 A soft, light, heat-resistant magnesium silicate mineral used for tobacco pipes, cigar holders, etc. 2 A pipe made from this material.” I’m betting a meerschaum pipe is more durable – and costly – than a corn cob pipe. (Since there isn’t an emoji with a pipe.)
