Ice and more Ice

I am sure that the weather is the biggest topic of conversation this morning. We have had snow, freezing rain, rain and high winds over the last few hours. Everything is a real mess out there. Our lights flickered off and on several times last evening and then we lost power about the time I was going to bed. The power came on sometime in the night, but according to the radio reports this morning, there are a lot of people who still don't have power. This is not my picture, but the trees in our yard are covered with ice and branches are sagging towards the ground. We are expecting more rain today, then some snow and sounds like the next few days will be the same type of weather. Another day to stay home, thankful I don't have to go out.

Freezing rain is the worst! The hospitals will be full of people with broken bones.

We lost power during the night, but I don't think it was for long. Thankfully we have it now. I'm just glad that I dont really have to go out today. It's definitely a good day to stay in.

Just glad that our power came back on. A lot of people are still out. Yes, it is a good day to stay inside. The parking lot and street looks terrible.

We had that snow a couple of days ago and it's already melting. However now they are saying more snow on Tuesday or Wednesday, I'm not looking forward to that.

Your weather is very much the opposite to our weather here now. Were now entering our summer season and were having very sunny weather. Like you we also tend to stay indoors or stay in shaded areas to avoid heatstroke.

We had a few inches of the heavy wet snow, but it was slushy and some of it melted today. I'm glad that you stayed in, ice is so dangerous.

It is going to turn colder tonight, so all that slush will be ice tomorrow, then more snow on top of it

Keep safe and warm. Once the system that is bringing the weather moves on out you will appreciate the sunny weather more.
