Hi folks it O'Kennedy here again. I hope that all of my followers are doing well. Today's topic of discussion is going to be Jobs/Job Searches. What is out there where can we look and find employment of some sort. Jobs are scarce these days business that have been around a long time are going under or outsourcing work to save. Its slim pickings out there even for those who have the required Education and or Experience. People are scrambling to make end meet and we are on edge. After some brainstorming this is what I came up with. Check the classified in the daily paper. If you don't have money to spare to buy one see if you can get a free copy in those dispensers that have the car auction and realestate magazines for free. Where I live Food Lion is a well known supermarket in the entrances/exits usually where they keep the carts and vending machines they have have these dispensers and they tend to be well stocked. Grab a copy of the Job Finder USA. Job Finder USA is not a regular newspaper the only thing in them is jobs that are hiring. If you have internet then you can spare yourself the walk and just visit their website. Some alternative places to search for employment are Websites like DOL.GOV,<---(Department of Labor), Monster.com, Snagajob.com, Job agencies such as Manpower,Kelly Services. Apply to store websites IE: Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, Big Lots, Rent a Center,McDonald's Etc. Some of the jobs don't pay well but a paycheck is better than none at all. You can always get a job like the ones mentioned above to keep you afloat until something better comes along. Also the classifieds section informs you about classes you can take and get a certificate of training of some kind to help you get one foot in the door. The training courses are usually short lasting a few months. Don't have much job experience that is okay. Being inexperienced isn't always a bad thing. You just have to make them see the positive in it. Here are a few examples. Q:Ms.O'Kennedy why should we hire someone inexperienced such as yourself verses someone with knowledge? A:I do not have experience however If you hire me I am a clean slate. No prior bad work practices to unlearn. Don't have traditional work history it isn't completely bad. Highlight the skills you do have. Here are a few examples to help you. I sold Beauty products(Avon/Mary Kay) as an independent sales representative. This shows that you work well independently can take initiative as well as deal with the public. I managed a home based daycare facility. This shows that you are a good listener have attention to detail, good communication skills, and are a good listener. These things may not seem important but they are. These are things that you either have or you don't. Turn the negatives into positives. Don't have any formal computer training not a problem. You know how to go online right? You can navigate sites like Facebook? You can send emails and type messages to your friends fairly fast? If you are able to type 35 wpm, knowledgeable with social media, experienced in using various internet/computer features. NOTE:(Use free online typing games and programs to help you improve your speed and accuracy while typing.)Then maybe you can say something like the following. I am a creative and enthusiastic individual with a diverse range of work/academic experience. Outgoing with strong and effective organizational and communication skills. Good team player and able to use my own initiative to achieve company objectives. I possess strong computer skills,I am versatile, learn new tasks and skills quickly. Eager to find a position offering long term potential with a structured and defined career progression path. Well I hope this helps and if any of you know or think of other things to add and share feel free to do so.

Hey there, it was an amazing article and very elaborate one on how one should go about searching the jobs. I strongly believe in today's era of globalization, the most important skills one need to have for any job are good interpersonal skills that include communication skills and also IT skills. When you have this combination, you will surely have an upper edge for any job.
