To continue my Quentin Tarantino marathon, I watched Sin City. Quentin Tarantino was a guest director. It was made in 2005. (I have seen this part of this movie before, but not the whole thing.) It has Jessica Alba, Devon Aoki, Alexis Bledel, Powers Boothe, Brittany Murphy, Clark Middleton, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis, and Elijah Wood in it.
Big Warning: there is lots of violence. Big Warning 2: there are some sad parts.
Sin City is based on a graphic novel by Frank Miller. I forgot that it is broken up into little stories. The stories are really good.
Next week I will be watching Sin City 2. It's not on the list of Quentin Tarantino movies, but I have been wanting to see the sequel.

It is a movie unlike any other in terms of visual style. I guess it is animation. They gave Mickey Rourke a chin like Stan on the cartoon show American Dad.

I just watched the sequel.....I am so sad Devon Aoki is replaced by Jamie Chung. I really loved Devon Aoki on the first movie. Her roile is non speaking but deadly.

It's a very stylish and powerful movie,but it is certainly violent too. I read the comic books some years ago - the movie is very true to the source material.
