Airplane food

I read an article this morning about choosing the right foods to eat while flying. I can only recall one flight maybe 10+ years ago that I was served food on. All the long flights I have taken since they are snack and drink. When my fiance flew to London they were not served meals (I believe that flight is over 7 hours). Has anyone flown lately and been served a real meal?

everytime i've went on a plane we had a meal..i think airplane food is pretty good. i mostly fly Hawaiian air to get back home, thats about a 5 hour trip. i flew to japan and we had a meal and a snack. the only flight i've been on where they didn't serve us a meal was inter island which is about a 20 min flight...so no time for really anything.
