Here is the situation, I told mylot about me waiting for my scheduled flight back to my place of origin. Now, we board right on scheduled but after the door of the plane was closed. The pilot told us that yes the passengers are all accounted for but unfortunately we cant taxi yet and commence flying because there was a vip on the place we are heading to and all aircrafts are put on hold. The passengers on my plane expresses their dismay that I think it promted the Pilot to just drive the plane on the runway with no intention of flying out yet. In the end we flew 45 minutes delayed of scheduled. When I arrived, I took a taxi and was talking to the driver and found out that it was our dear president with his presidential bet doing their campaign in my area for the election after his official business in the morning. Do you think its right for the incumbent president to participate in the campaign afterall the people are still paying him to do some other important matters while he is still in the position. Was it right to put all flight on hold because they were there?

Yes , he is the president but dont think that president should also participate in campaigns because as a president one must be unbiased. He must hear all sides. Hahaha I think we should revise our laws.

They belong to the same party, which is why he's campaigning for him. I can understand your frustration, its the election period, things like this happens. They need to reach every part of the country to campaign.

But I would wish he will exclude himself from all these because you he is still being paid as the president of our country.

I think we can't really do anything about it since he is the president, not that im fond of him. And there are air traffics like this that we don't have control over. But im really sorry if your flight got delayed.

@abrielle28 i think I typed it wrong. The pilot clearly told us it was due to the vips ?? but i am glad to be home now.

@dazzledlady then it must have been due to air traffic that got the flight delayed or other confidential reason they didn't want to disclose to the passengers..i really don't know lol but i'm glad you did have a safe flight.

Unfortunately, it happens during all major campaigns. The president gets involved unless he is asked to stay away from the candidate.

It is better for him to fly commercial than to fly private. I think that is a right thing to do, and he gets to see how the normal people travel. If he flies private all the time, he will have to get more money out from the people through taxation.

That is an idea but will not be possible because as they say there will be security problems

I think so too, but apparently they said its legal from what I have gathered in the news. the president has a duty to campaign for the person who he believes can continue his advocacy and projects.

These people think they have a right to everything and end up abusing power. Thats not right at all;why would flights be put on hold for him to campaign. Feeling pissed off as if i were the one

It was very inconvenient I know, but the world we live in holds many threats for those who hold high public office.

Well that is true but does it mean we all have to stop what we are doing in favor of them. We all face danger from our day to day dealings in this world.
