Catknapped?

Canada
March 4, 2016 3:44pm CST
Last month around Feb. 8th our male cat went out when my son left for school. He never came home that day or night. The following day we were hit by a snow storm the snow was deeper than he was tall. He still never came home. There was a lot of snow and we live in the country so I couldn't really go walking all over the country side looking for him. After about 4 days I posted on my local community pet page. I got a response from a neighbor who told me that they saw my cat the day before in a trailer out back of their place with some other cats. I assumed he was stranded out back because of the snow. The neighbor told me he had shelter and mice. Two days later the snow was gone again I expected him to come home. He didn't. My friend who lives up the road. Thought he may have been hit as she saw a dead cat on the side of the road driving by. I walked down... wasn't my cat. My cat's whereabouts are still a mystery. I'm starting to think he was either cat napped or decided he liked the wild better.

@sallypup I totally understand. We know our cats okay, but we've kinda figured out hes not coming back. In fact my son has been bugging me to get him a dog.

@indiandevil I'm horrified. The last cat we adopted was an apartment baby. Now that she is here and living on 3 acres she thinks she is a Wild Cat Bob Cat baby. Drives me nuts cause I want to know where the fur kids are at all times. She'd rather be out and about scaring gophers and birds.

We do too. But if he did go wild it is unlikely he'll return.

@indiandevil Let's hope it's that then, rather than him being catnapped.

I did once have a cat come home after about a month. The cat we have now adopted us; he is supposed to be living next door.

I'm not giving up. Especially where he is a male and not neutered. I'm just curious as to where he is and what he's doing. lol, yes that happens a lot sometimes. Cats roam and visit places often

@indiandevil They do. Especially out in the country where they have so much freedom.

@Marty1 ha ha ha. I don't know if I am special. He was supposed to be the neigbour's barn cat; but I guess he just saw himself as a pampered pet instead.

I hope he comes back soon. May be he just needed some time outside. Just one thing to worry, I hope he dosent get attacked by stray dogs.
