TV Show Story So Far Recapping

I was tempted to launch right into Friday’s diary page which is written up but I’ll post something different before then to break the pattern. I was thinking about how many TV shows start with scenes from the previous episode to remind us of the story so far. What this amounts to is almost random snippets of dialogue and action highlights. If you missed the previous episode it wouldn’t give you a clue of what was going on. Imagine if you picked up Moby Dick in Chapter twenty with a recap of the previous events running; 'A ship sailing, harpoons being thrown, close up description of a wooden leg, a yell of ‘thar she blows’, men shouting, a glimpse of the whale, man with tattoos, ship sailing in storm. ' There you are all set to read on now. Arthur Chappell

Never read or seen it, but I know the basic story. Thanks you The Simpsons and Futurama!

@Ronrybs In Woody Allen's lovely film Zelig, he spends his whole life trying to read the book only to die with one chapter to go

this is why I would almost rather skip the live tv, and watch later on netflix one after another, or get the DVD or something. I noticed Netflix gets that, and puts out their origional series in a big chunk, boom, here is season 1. lol
