Living with an addict

It must be really hard to live with an addict. I have an aunt whose husband is alcoholic. Alcoholism is so severe that uncle hits my aunt when he is drunk. When drunk, uncle is always out of control and crazy. However, when he is sober, he is a good husband.

must have been hard for your aunt. addiction is hard to overcome. it needs support from the family. it might result to rehabilitation but this, i think, can be avoided. if theres guidance from people who are closer to him.
