Its a real pity that even since our country grows all kinds of crops we only get poison to eat !!!! My brother was having serious stomache ache today due to having a veg fried rice.:(. He went to hospital and found it was food poison. After a drip and medications he came back home. Really something has to be done to stop these. We cannot grow all kinds of vegetables at home. Some of hem has to be purchased and we fall in danger. The government should do something seriously!!!

food poisoning as in the food was not prepared, handled, cooked properly causing his body to become ill in an attempt to purge it out of the body. Or did someone actually poison the food with chemicals being used

It also depends on what kind of place he ate veg fried rice from. There are lot of places where they cut vegetables and leave it in open for hours before they actually cook, it really worsens the situation. You are right there are lot of pesticides being used these days to cultivate vegetables and fruits. We need to wash vegetables thoroughly before cooking them. Try as much as you can to go for hybrid vegs and fruits and go for mainly seasonal ones only.

He ate at from home only but his wife just washed the veggies in plain water. Infact i've seen people injecting urea on bananas before they are ripe to gain double the weight just for the sake selling

The government doesnt care because they make money out of it. This is why I am homesteading and I have my own vegetable garden now.

@bestmom Moringga aka drumstick, I only eat the leaves. I am not really a fan of the pods. I also have eggplant, sweet potato, different kinds of beans, Yam, Taro, Saluyot, tropical celery, Water spinach, chillies, onion and garlic. I do wish I can grow the cold climate ones, maybe someday I will be able to afford a green house. I also grow mushrooms indoors
