well, certainly not pre-recorded tapes because like everyone says, you can't find thjose anymore. But blank ones? Yes! 90% of the tapes in my car are tapes that I made. Best of Bob seger, Best of Alice Cooper, best of ELO. And I've made about 2 or threee best of Emerson Lake & Palmer. (couldn't fit my favorites on just one tape!) I don't have a CD burner so until I do, I hope blank cassetes are around for awhile..

Blanks are the only ones I buy. Can't really remember seeing prerecorded ones anywhere, except used ones sold by street vendors. Remember how you used to have a favorite music cassette and then one day the tape would jam and get wrapped around the insides of the machine and your music would be ruined? Ah, the good old days...

what did you do, go from records straight to cds? Or do you just not buy anything with music on it?

I don't think ANYONE buys cassetes anymore! Heck, I don't think many buy CD's anymore. iPods are the hugest craze here in Chicago, nearly everyone has one.

It's been many years. I believe since 1997. But I did find a bunch of blank tapes in a box I unpacked a couple of days ago. I might use them for the car. My car has a tape deck/cd player in it.

No, I don't. In fact I don't even buy original cds, I have a few originals, the rest I download and burn into cds myself.

You can still find them nowadays in older truck stops across america. Except the selection is narrowed to the taste of the surrounding area, and in some hick towns is scary. I got a few, and hang onto a sony walkman I had since the early 90's just to listen to it.
