Day 19 – Confident Job 19 As we grow, we learn, and as we learn we grow confident in the knowledge we gain. Most of us gain knowledge from going to school, and then on to college so we can better ourselves and achieve the career of our choice, confident that we gained the knowledge to do the job for which we applied. Confidence isn’t only learned in a textbook. Life gives us confidence as we learn through experience. Job didn’t have the advantage of going to school and learning a career. His confidence came from life’s experiences. Experience he gained from his close walk with God. No matter how much his friends talked against him, he had confidence in one thing alone. God’s faithfulness through his life caused him to give a testimony of the assurance he had in God. Job 19:25 For I know that my redeemer lives, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the earth: 26 And though after my skin worms destroy this body, yet in my flesh shall I see God: 27 Whom I shall see for myself, and mine eyes shall behold, and not another; though my reins be consumed within me. Job knew the promise of a Savior, and though he would not witness his birth and experience his salvation, yet he voiced what Christians know because God fulfilled his promise. As Christians, our confidence comes in a promise fulfilled. Job’s confidence was in God’s faithfulness to keep his promise. Job said I know, I shall see, and he shall stand. What is your confidence? When life throws situations your way, which threaten to make you quit, do you do what Job did and tell everyone ‘I know’? As Christians, we have a risen Savior. We have the testimony of Jesus’ life, death, and resurrection through his Word. We were given the opportunity to accept or reject him. When you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord, did you also grow in the confidence needed to proclaim ‘He Lives’? Will you stand on the latter day with Job when Jesus returns? Job had confidence he would see a risen Savior with his eyes, in his flesh. And no matter what his friends said to him, nothing would shake that confidence. That same confidence is ours today. Let’s pray: Father, give me the confidence to say with Job that my Redeemer lives and I will see him on the last day with my eyes and in my flesh when Jesus returns for his bride. In Jesus’ name, I pray, amen. Copyright © 8 March 2016 by Valerie Jean Routhieaux All scripture is King James Version, edited by me into common English. Image courtesy of Pixabay

Experience is the best teacher , as a saying goes . We should also gain our confidence in God , because he will not leave us , no matter what . We just have to pray and call on him , always .

Many people that I know never got a chance to go to school. They learn what they know from life. To bad that doesn't really mean much when you are looking for a job these days.
