No mood this Election

Philippines

Don't get me wrong, I'm going to vote this coming may. In my country, the elections will be held two months from now. I've already watch the local debate, there will be another in coming days. They've already made their campaign speeches, ads and other gimmicks all over the country. But for some reason, I'm not politically motivated to campaign for some one. I guess this is what it feels when you're don't feel the vibe of the candidates. Maybe it's due the fact my Mom had some connections with local officials now and her friend who has a direct connection w/ a congressman who supported her organization.

yes, I've been doing it too @amadeo they all have experience, little or more but those with more experience had the same thing with corruption. so, it's really confusing.

I am not excited with the local politicians but I am excited with the Presidential candidate. I hate it when I hear that the Magnanakaw and most corrupt candidate is even leading the surveys.

@Letranknight2015 that makes me mad. Those survey are actually setting some kind of trend so that the undecided people will just vote those leading the surveys.

Well, mom is somewhat involved with local because of the seniors she works with. Never believed the surveys, it's just a group of people being surveyed to manipulate millions. I mean millions of people who are still being deceived. @salonga

I think one of the perks of being unregistered voter is saving myself of deciding which candidate is right for the job. I got fed up with all the politicians and I seem not motivated to exercise my rights to vote although some might disagree with me and think its one vote wasted to a possible change in how our country is run . But call me a cynic but I think it aint gonna happen that fast. I sincerely hope the right person will be elected and that he/she would make sound decision for the benefit of everyone. I hate hearing false promises from these politicians so I rather just do my thing.

The reason why I need to vote right now was to keep myself in the list. Besides, my voter's ID is one of my valid ID right now, I don't want it to go to waste. when I lost it one time, took months before i got it back. but I do need to vote and participate since this is our country, that's the least thing i can do if there's ever going to be a future.@dazzledlady

@Letranknight2015 haha yes you are right. we need to exercise our right because who knows our vote might count to finally making that big step to change. I also was a registered voter before but the erased it after I failed to vote for 2 or 3 years consecutively. I was contemplating to have myself registered this time but I got busy.

We have better choices than the US at this moment though. We have 6 and they only have 2 and those 2 are cringeworthy.

@CaptAlbertWhisker I do agree on that. It is more entertaining to see the politicians to showcase their hunger in aiming for the position.

I've woke up and realize that it's the same thing over and over again. Not to mention the media isn't being fair too because they are just bias with their bet. @Shavkat

The whole thing seems like a gimmick. They have to know at some point people are going to see right through their fakeness. It is everywhere and all seems like one big corporate commercial to buy into something we do not need with money we do not have.

3 of the presidential candidates we have this election is actually better than the 2 Americans will vote for. I am not kidding but who will win the election may not be the best. We have better choices than the Americans but the fact it is a close fight makes it scary.,

If you don't like any of the ideas your candidates are representing then it is your right as a voter to decide not to vote. This would be better then voting for someone who you don't agree with, because then your voice would not be represented correctly.

There is one person I think I'm voting, but not because of my personal decision but it is also meant for our lawmaker in our district here. @zachchandonnait of course, support for my mom's friend who had supported her long before this election.
