Men, why do they act so child-like sometimes?

My husband is no kid, he will be 73 in a few months. So being young and stupid is no excuse for what he just did. We took a golf cart ride up to the back of our property - as far up hill as we could go. Instead of going back down the hill the same way we went up, he decided to cut across the creek. He said, "I shouldn't try this." as it did it anyway and we got stuck. So he wasted a gallon of gas gunning the engine, but we didn't move. This is a deep 'V' where he tried to cross over and since he couldn't back up, the only way was forward, uphill and very fast. I thought I was in a wreck on the interstate. I didn't think he would do it, but he did. So after I screamed at him loud enough to hear in the next county I told him what I thought of his stupid idea. I have a few little cuts on my arm, not sure they got there. My right hand hurts from hanging onto Ruby's collar so tight and my leg hurts where I hit something. Other than that it was a wonderful ride. There are some things I let slide, but I guaranty this isn't one of them. I don't know if he did any damage to his 'toy' but believe me if he did that's too bad. Men....'nough said. Photo is mine

Well, he did deserve to be reprimanded by you! Somebody's got to put those men in their place and they have to be watched very carefully because they will just do silly things again and again. My husband is 67 years old and drives a Porsche which is the car that replaced the Corvette. He did get speeding tickets in those two cars, and I told him that if he ever loses his license due to too many speeding tickets I will not drive him anywhere he has to go! So there!

This reminds me of how happy I am not with my ex any longer. We had a favorite spot we used to go camping here and it was a lovely meadow. But in the Spring the creek would get high. One such time he insisted on going through the creek and going further on the other side of the meadow. We got stuck and it got so late we had to stay there that night. I was afraid we would wake up the next morning and wouldn't be able to get out. But we did. Men!

I would say more hedonistic and risk-taking than woman but saying 'childish' naw cause a kid would run and never use a vehicle to cross the creek SO that makes your young almost 73 year old, quite mature ! Sorry you were a little banged up though Abby
