You may have heard about the recent recall of some Digiorno Pizza. This also applied to some types of Stouffer's or Lean Cuisine frozen dinners. Seems that these food items have been found to contain of all things...GLASS! I don't know about you but my confidence if the safety of our food is beginning to drop dramatically. How does this even happen? Does it happen more these days or did it happen before and we just didn't hear about it. All questions that come to mind. In any case, if you have any of these food items, you might want to check it out to see if they are on any recall lists. You should be able to find a full list of recalled products on the company's website. Bon appétit! Or, maybe not...

It is a scary thing to learn about food that may be sitting in your freezer. I suppose the questions are: How did it happen? Why wasn't it caught? and Was it an accident or deliberate?

@jahunt My wife often takes Lean Cuisine to work for lunch. I'll be checking the packages in the freezer to see if any are on the recall list.

Agreed. It seems you hear about food recalls or listeria at Chipolte's or something similar every other day.

@jahunt That is outrageous, they need to find what happened so it doesn't happen again. Makes you afraid to eat anything anymore.

Great source of informatio. Wow! That's dangerous. They really need to check food items before they leave the plants.

They were blaming it on the spinach-now what part of spinach contains glass is the next question.

Thank God we stopped buying such products years ago. Finding that the box is bigger than the pizza and tastes better is a rite of passage.
