Is Punctuallity Really Important??

I know that many of you are of the same thinking that punctuality is probably the best virtue in humans and should be saved at all cost. But, is it not true that the idea has now lived its life?? We have already damaged our environment far enough in order to reach somewhere quickly. We sacrifice lot of things that we love to do just because we need to reach on time the next day..Does it not become too mechanical and stressfull?? If we have promised something to someone than it is a different matter all together..But just to prove to others, it is not a worthy deal..Is there anyone with similar thoughts or I am the only one??
