How will you react when someone abuse you while driving vehicle on road?

This happened to me many times as i every day go to college on my bike.
Some people are really very bad that they start fighting on road for minor things like 'not giving side to other vehicle' and resulted in heavy traffic and violation on road.I am really very disappointed with this.
So what will be your response or reaction when this thing happened to you that someone abuse you while you are driving?
Example : You are going somewhere on your bike or car while driving someone wants side and want to overtake you but as per situation you can not give side for any reason.... and after sometime he come by your side and abuse you or he forcefully stopping you to hurt you.
What will be your reaction in this situation?
My reaction :
1) If someone abuse me while driving i will just ignore him because if i react with this act then it will be result in
a) it will totally waste of my time as well as my energy
b) if i attack him for this minor thing than either i will beat him very bad or he will beat me very bad, it will be resulted very bad.
2) if someone stopping me and try to attack me than i will have to attack back for the self-defense and to protect my loved ones with me. and i will call cops or police.
what will be your reaction?

For me, I will formally file a complaint against this person in police station. I don't need to confront them, I will just get their plate numbers. If it is riding a bike, I will ask an assistance from a police who is on the street. Regardless, if there is no visibility of police officers then I will use my mobile phone to take pictures of them and report them after.

@krosscrime Then, protect yourself up. I don't think someone will attack you in public. If it is, then the people must be educated about traffic rules.

Never been absurd while driving. The metal protects me from irate people. Plus, I don't walk the roads or highways in SoCal. Guess I'll never get abused.
