Yes there is companies today that make electric boats
if I put the link in right you see were to go. A lot of hear about electric cars but not a lot about boats that are electric, So check this site out and let me know what you think. This can keep more gas and oil out of the water to . So we can have cleaner water to play in.

That looks cool
, wonder what would happen if you put solar panels , it's gonna run for months. I think the down side is the power, it cannot match the gas or diesel so it's for calmer waters only, still it's cool, no pollution and minimal maintenance

Sooner or later watch telsa motor car
Have something for boats.
The car engine they have now
Might work in boats .it all electric
