Feeling so sad for Belgium, memories of New York

I was so surprised when I turned on the television this morning and saw the horrible things going on in Belgium. Just watching the people running around and fighting for some safe place to hide reminded me so much of New York when the towers got hit. I lived very close to New York at that time and my son lived in the city. My son was working in New Jersey at the time and was ready to go into the Lincoln Tunnel which connects New York and New Jersey. My son said he was so scared as he actually saw the second plane hit the tower. Luckily, he made it through safely. His girlfriend at the time lived very close to the towers and was not able to get back to her place so she and her parents stayed at my sons place and he could not get back to New York so he stayed at a co-workers place until he could get back in the city. Funny how some things will stick in our heads forever, like it was yesterday.

Yes, it's hard to forget something like that. I imagine your son gets a bit ticked off when he hears "conspiracy theorists" say no planes actually hit the towers.

@TheHorse He never mentions it. He doesn't talk much about things that bother or upset him.
