Random Thoughts

@paigea had many changes'f plans with this'un due to my fabric choices (the type'f fabric...ne'er fall'n love with a color scheme, lol). got a 4th'f it put together 'n stitched jest to wake'p this mornin' to a screamin' sewin' machine. sometime durin' the night the bobbin decided it jest didn't wish to feed any longer, but to knot'p inside instead. i've taken't apart 'n put't back together 'bout 20 times?? its taken me 'bout 6 hours to get'er runnin' proper 'gain. 'n now? i'm fed up with the whole shootin' match 'n takin' myself a bit'f a break. always regret my not bein' able to learn knittin' 'n crochet. aint from the lack'f tryin'.

Glad you solved your quilting dilemma. It was nice to learn some knew knitting skills.

@crazyhorseladycx my knitting is far from skillful but I am enjoying it and we will wear thiese slippers.

@paigea I miss your posts. I hope your computer gets working real soon.

@paigea Yay! Congrats on finishing them Are you wearing them at home now? You brought your computer along? I hope it wasn't too heavy. That's strange does it have anything to do with your Internet connection at home? Does Swagbucks/myLot work at your familys place too?!

The slippers are done but they are not here. I am visiting family and my computer works here! I am baffled as to what is wrong with it. It will not work on swagbucks or myLot at home!

@infatuatedbby It is a laptop so not too heavy. Yes, both sites are working here! My slippers turned out too big. I gave them to my husband but he has not been wearing them. I will have to try shrinking them and hope I don't get them too small!

I hope I can find the problem myslef. It is expensive to take it in.

I am. But today I am using my computer at someone else's house and it is working fine? So what ever causes myLot and some other sites not to work is just on my internet? I am lost.

I find my phone is slow.

@paigea It's always nice to have someone personally showed or taught you how to do.

I knitted the first heel on the second Saturday class. Then when I was ready to knit the second heel I went to a knitting group and the instructor kindly showed me how to do it again.

I am still having trouble. But I can manage a short time here. My house is getting a bit cleaner!

I am managing a few minutes every day it seems.

It is not hard to learn but it takes practice to get an even result. I already knew how to knit before going to this class but had never made slippers. So I wanted someone to show me how to make the heel. I enjoyed it!

I got the lesson on the heel and the slippers finished. The computer works on some sites but not here! I make a couple of comments and then the site freezes up!

@paigea I did an update of some kind and lost connection just this morning. My wife figured it out luckily.

A pain for me as I am very limited in my knowledge of what to do and I can't take it in all the time!

What are you knitting? I am still having computer problems and I am still avoiding taking in the computer for service.

My friend learned a lot from videos. The instructor uses them too; as she is always looking for new techniques and ideas. But the video can't look at what I am doing and tell me how to fix it! My husband has also used youtube to help him fix many things around the house. He is already knowledgeable and good at that type of thing though. Luckily the instructor will help if I go to her knitting circle.

Frustrating and I don't feel like spending money on it!

If I use my phone for the internet it is at home on wifi as I don't pay for a data plan on it. It is just very slow on the internet maybe because it is old. My computer lets me be here for a few minutes then the site freezes up. I can't seem to fix it myself so I will eventually get it taken care of.

My phone is very slow for myLot. I am busy doing other things though.
