Usually the dogs don't wake me until around 7 am but this morning Honey came and started making some noises and butting my arm with her nose to let me know she needed me to wake up which I did then of course BonBon also woke up and I let them out and it was a good thing as Honey had to really go. Honey (the black dog) a day ago had started acting as if her paw were bothering her and when I took a good look at it yesterday she has a raw spot so today she will go and see her vet. She has been licking it like mad, I tried putting a sock on it but she took that off within minutes and since I don't know what to do for her I am hoping the vet will tell us what can be done. I feel so sorry for her as I hate to see any of my animals in pain.

@TiarasOceanView The doc said she is probably in a lot of pain and gave us pain meds and antibiotic to give her twice a day.

@twentysix76 Thanks she seems to be not licking so much now so I am guessing the pills have kicked into her system.

Awww, I hope Honey's problem isn't serous. It sounds like it might be an allergy, my daughter has dogs some into her shop with allergies and usually the sign is a raw spot somewhere.

@amadeo The vet says it is most likely very painful as it is raw and gave us pain pills and antibiotics to give to her twice a day.

Hopefully the vet has something that's both antibiotic and nasty tasting.
