I really think that it is time for me to get a new laptop, the last one I had was not really that good but then again it was a bargin priced laptop. I have a tower hard disk and some other components so it would be much cheaper for me to build a new desk top. However I prefer the portability of a laptop instead, but it the cost that makes the big difference because I really want to get a good one. What are your thoughts and what kind of computer are you using now?

I have a Toshiba laptop
Its not that great, system crapped out on me twice and the company didn't even want to fix it the first time.
After the aecond time I switched it to Linux and its been fine.
The type of laptop you would need really depends on what you are using it for. Hp laptops are pretty awesome and have good prices. Toshiba has good prices but not great quality.
What is your preferred size of laptop?
I usually go with 17.3" because I want to be able to see but you may not need that big of size.
What type of processor do you need?
For simple web browsing you could go with an Intel Pentium processor or a smaller model AMD processor. For bigger projects like video editing, graphice and web design/development you would want to go with an i5 or i7 Intel processor.
What hard drive size/type do you want?
There is HDD and SSD, SSD is faster, HDD has mors storage capacity.
There are several more specs to look out for to find the one that works best for you.
