Time for Reflection

Today is Good Friday. For us, Roman Catholics, this is a very solemn day where we halt from our routine works, contemplate and "feel" the sacrifices that Jesus Christ did for us. I woke up so early today, so had some time to accomplish my notifications here and post this discussion, but later, I will go to nearby churches to pay some respects to God who has been endowing us with so many blessings. Do you also do some "rituals"/religious practices or reflect during such important occasions?

I used to be, but you know Im not into it this week. I've always reflect the things I do everyday and sometimes I pray and ask for forgiveness. You feel clean after confessing or participating on those rituals for the holy week. But after that temptation comes in and things become back to normal.

Yes, it could be just symbolic, but at least for us who know how it is to be a true member of the Flock, whether we participate or not in such activities does not matter as long as we are doing what Jesus Christ wants us to be.

@acelawrites There were years that I did hope for a better change in me every time I participated in the holy week, but it was really hard. maybe I will participate again next year.

No, i don't do any particular ritual during Holy Week. But I have a daily communion with God by praying and meditating on his Holy Word Bible.

I'm not Christian, so celebrate my holidays. Happy Easter!
