It's sad. Being teased and insulting others. This come back line also applies to being teased as fat, gay, stupid etc. I won't advise this method of retorting back at others who have insulted you.
When I'm being insulted, I know that the other person's obviously angry and lashing out all sorts of caustic personal attacks to push my buttons so that they could get a reaction.
It's best when confronted with a heated argument to stay calm instead of adding fuel to the fire. After all, I'm pretty sure that the topic at debate won't be that significant.
Stay confident and positive.

Yes, some bad mouths do back down when their target stands firm their ground. I'm sure you'd know how to judge when.

To me - when others say negative things its because that person is insecure themselves and is jelly. You are right - stay confident and positive is the way to go!

Some people can be obnoxious. But as long as we don't react to them and feed into their negativity, we can steer clear of drama and trouble.

As much as possible, I avoid insults because it might be used against me.
That is one cute cat. I love chubby/fluffy cats.

I agree, it's really nasty to hurl insults at others. But some people can't hold their tongues.
