This is the eye mask that I bought from watsons. Photo taken by me.

I turend 38 last February and realised that I should start using some eye cream or serum for the fine lines and the crow's feet that appear whenever I'm squinting or smiling. I'm not young anymore and I'm proud about my age. But if I had the chance to delay skin ageing, I would. So, I was shopping at Watsons for my toiletries when i spotted the "buy two for Php29 and take one free!" It was an eye mask for tired, dark under eye circles. The packaging label says that visible results can be seen after 6 days of continuous use. Improvement in your fine lines and the appearance of your eyes will improve despite lack of sleep. I'm not done with the 6 day challenge yet to see any visible results. Using this eye mask is refreshing though and I just feel good that I'm somehow taking care of my eye wrinkles. Are you using anything in particular to delay skin ageing?

My older sister is the same age as you. She's also been to buying creams lately because she said she doesn't want to have lines on her face yet. His son keeps on asking him why she always buy those products, my sister would just answer him "Do you like your friends to say that you have an ugly mom?".

You are supposed to start using it while you are young. It helps stop your skin aging so fast. Especially in hot countries.

I regret not using any when I was still young. Prevention is better than cure and the eyes are sometimes neglected.

Hope that product works well for you! You don't look like 38. You look much younger than that. I don't, though I know I am aging as well, I am just too lazy to do all these. I remember some of my friends advice me to better take care of my skin, but it seems like I become lazier and lazier, now I just use cleanser to wash my face, that's all. I have always heard that, there's no ugly woman, there's just lazy woman. I guess I am just the lazy woman, and I don't mind being a little bit ugly. I am trying to do more exercises, I read that it'll be good for the skin, and also it's better for my health.

@toniganzon That's really good. Though I am lazy to use those beauty products, I always think it's good to look healthy and fit as well. That's why I prefer doing exercises, though I am still lazy to exercise now.

@kaka135 I like to do both. My kind of exercise can cause wrinkles because i must be under the sun. So I need protection and prevention!

I used to be really lazy too, but then in my job, I have to face different kinds of people and I need to at least have that pleasing personality. Hence, the extra effort to look better.

@toniganzon Oh and I checked your blog too! I think I will try doing that foundation tip. I need to buy a new BB cream first as mine is almost out. Made a mistake earlier of thinking your blog was another myLotters blog.

@toniganzon I don't use them much, only on special occasion. So for regular use I just use compact foundation.

Because of my advanced age , i already have wrinkles around my eye area too . I also would like to have them diminished at least , but i think it would cost me a lot because that eye cream cannot erase it anymore.

There are eye creams that could diminish them but couldn't totally erase them. The price is just very expensive though.

@SIMPLYD There are creams that are really effective but they come with a price. They're not distributed commercially though.

@toniganzon I think those creams aren't that effective though . I have seen at Salamat Dok that at Viki Belo they have one that can make them diminish . Not surgery . But of course that would be expensive .

I've used ROC and so many other wrinkle creams and honestly nothing has helped reduce them. I am 32 and started getting crows feet when I was 21 after having my daugher in 2004. I read more recently that not getting enough calcium can cause early wrinkles and so that would make a lot of sense since pregnancy depletes or bodies of calcium.

@toniganzon If you go to Avon they will give you the right cream for your age. That is a good make and i used it for years until my Avon lady gave up. I suppose I could go online for it.

@suzzy3 Thanks. Are there any eye cream or serum that you know which contains no paraben? I'm a bit particular with that. I use skin care products that don't use paraben so I would like an eye cream without that chemical too.

Well, thank you my dear friend! I don't get enough sleep myself. I get 5 to 6 hours and it's never enough for me. I don't have the chance to nap during the day and I have deep under eye circles as well, though they're not that dark. My deep under eye circle can also be attributed to my age as well.

I am using ponds anti-acne clear foam or something. I forgot. I am not used to applying things and using stuff in my face but since I want to take care of myself also, I decided to use some. I just started to use it so we will see also.

That's really wonderful. A lot of Filipinos are neglectful of their skin. I only came to care for mine at a later age and I am regretting it now.

It's very important to moisturize the eye area at all times, because there are almost no oil glands there. Sunglasses are also important, as is breaking the squinting habit. Sometimes, it's just genetics. I've had eye surgery on upper and lower lids, three times, and go for Botox injections every 3 or 4 months. I am thin skinned. :(

Not sure if I'd ever consider botox. I agree with the sunglasses. It's a necessity especially where i'm from.

To tell you frankly, I'm 51 but never use an eye mask or anything. I just drink a lot of water, taking nutritional supplements and do some walking once in a while. I'm not afraid to grow old and change my skin due to aging. I just want to age gracefully

Most Filipinos neglect their eyes. Though you're not using an eye cream, taking nutritional supplements help a lot. I don't want to look older than my age that's why I think using skin care products are important. And considering the environment nowadays, it's never enough to just hydrate ourselves with water.

Well, I'm in my 60s now and the wrinkles are here. But I must say, my skin still looks pretty good. I think it's drinking a lot of water and getting good sleep. I love a good face scrub and then some nice smelling face cream. And sun block when I'm outside. I think that's the most important of all. The sun can really do damage to our skin! :)

Agree! Prevention is the key. When I was in my teens, sunblock didn't exist in my vocabulary, Even when I was swimming, playing volleyball out in the sun, and cycling, I never used it. I was already in my late 20s when I started using sunblock.

@CRK109 Thank you but I actually started a bit late already. I like out door activities even when I was young until now, so my skin has been actually sun damaged already. I never used any sunscreen in the past.

@toniganzon That's what they told me when I went and had a facial. I have to try and remember to put it on, I don't care about the wrinkles as much as the possible skin cancer.

Lotion is an anti-ageing product because it moisturises our skin to delay, thus delaying signs of ageing compared to people not using lotion. I regret not using any anti-ageing products when i was younger. They said it's always best to start when you're young and I didn't because I just didn't care then. My bad!

Just don't find them convenient. though eggs have collagen that helps repair the skin, I'm a lazy gal that prefers to use something that's easy and not sticky. But I do use eggs sometimes when I'm up to it.
