Candy Drawer is Full

As some may know I generally wait til the day after a holiday that has candy especially chocolate as part of the celebration treats (Halloween, Christmas, Valentines's and Easter) to buy chocolate as you can get good deals with most places having the candy half price (don't understand why the Dollar General or Family Dollar has their's at 25% off). I got a little late start today and already knew that it would be useless to walk across to Walmart as they didn't have much yesterday, so I walked down the road (about a half mile mile) to Walgreens and was pleasantly surprised at the assortment they still had in the noon hour and happily loaded my cart with my favorites including 2 bags of York Peppermint patties, 2 of Hershey's minutures, 2 bags of rollos, kitkats and something else in a bag, Elmer gold Brick candy, jelly beans and purple peeps. This could keep this chocoholic happy til almost September if not later. (paid paid less that 25 dollars for aall that half priced caandy) Just wish we had another candy theme holiday about midway between Easter and Halloween,

lol I know it is quite irresistible isn't it. I am on the road so I think I might miss out on most of the opportunities. We are still eating the discounted Valentine's Day canady!!

That's a lot of candy! I'm not a candy person, maybe once a year and that's about it.

I used to do that when I didn't have kids that would 'share' their candy. Now loading up to fight the crowds isn't really worth it.

There no crowds just another shopper and staff clearing out the empty boxes

So now you are all stocked up for awhile. My daughter gave me a box of chocolates for Easter, but I am not going to buy any more even if it is half price. Trying to limit my candy eating and if it is in the house, I eat it.

Oh, that's it of candies already and you got them on cheaper price. I hope I can find a store like that in our place too.

I usually do that too! There are still some good sweets available and you get twice as much for the same price! :)
