Time to Get Dentures

I'll be leaving shortly for my trip to the dentist. I'll be gone approximately five hours, perhaps longer. I'm very happy to have the dentures finally started. Time to think about foods I love to eat, that I haven't been able to eat since November. When I get back, I'll also finish with the office. I finally know where the organ is going. Then it's a matter of sorting, throwing, and finding a new home for everything else that was in here. So what does your day look like, or did look like if this is the end of your day? I'm on my first cup of coffee. Trying to decide whether to do a progress note or write a MyLot post. I don't have a meeting until 11 AM. Hope the dentures are comfy when you get them.

I'm sure you're excited to get started on your dental visits for your dentures and it will be interesting to read what foods you are looking forward to eating (if you're willing to share)

Steak, apples, corn on the cob - all foods I haven't eaten in a long time as I've gradually lost my teeth. I'm tired of soft food. It might be good, but only eating soft food gets old fast.

You will be able to eat properly and enjoy your food again. just hanging around cleaning the house today.

@suzzy3 Yes it does. I had spaghetti last night, and though it's good, I would really like something I can sink my teeth into. I am making leg of lamb today. We'll see how that goes without teeth.

Don't work too hard. I'm looking forward to good food again. Soft is getting very old.

some of that stuff takes WAY too long, insurance and stuff is dumb when it comes to teeth stuff

glad you are getting some new teeth. My husband needs an upper set as he can't eat properly, but he quarreled with the dentist he went to and is lazy about going elsewhere

I'm sorry he quarreled with the dentist. I hope he gets his dentures so he can eat properly again. I'll have mine in a couple months.

@just4him The trouble is that he expected them to fit first time, while I know that they are often adjusted before and after wear, but he doesn't listen

It will. I'm looking forward to having teeth again. I'm almost done with the office and living room where everything went as I started cleaning out the office to rearrange it. I hope you're enjoying the cleaning process as well.

Happy for you. Hope everything works out well for you. I mowed at home, church will be tomorrow before rain moves in for the rest of the week. I have some ironing to tackle but for now I"m resting and watching some tennis. Have a blessed day
