Did i missed a notification? Lotting this morning then suddenly, electricity went out. Is this a scheduled power outage? Check the electric company facebook page, but there's no announcement. Sigh. Electricity was back after more than two hours. Do you have those unannounced outage too?

We very rarely have power cuts in England. It must have been very frustrating for you.

to be honest, when it happens here, it's very quick, more like a hiccup. but when i see the company logo of the water company in the newspaper or hear the company name being mentioned in the news, i'm all eyes and ears! it seldom happens, though, but i don't want to be caught unprepared.

@Lucky15 with water and electricity supply, yeah, i guess so. maybe it comes with living in the capital. but you and those in the visayas and mindanao are much closer to nature, fresh air and food, less crowds, noise, haste, traffic, litter, crime, simple and lower cost of living.

Not unless there is a severe lightening storm OR a holiday when perhaps the electrical grid we use here, has a short and needs to re-surge itself . . . glad your back on ! Enjoy the rest of the day or night

We don't have those here. I'm sorry you had that happen. They really should announce when they're going to do that.

Yes, but that's because I didn't follow their FB page. I asked my father for him to follow their page so that he will see if there's an announcement. He visits FB more often than I do.

@Lucky15 yup. But I don't think it is proper that they just announce on FB. They have to post it somewhere else or inform us.

@Lucky15 Yes, I think at least they should update it in the facebook page. I never thought of checking that. Perhaps I should next time.

If we have an electrical outage, it either means that a car accidentally hit an electric pole and knocked out power, or that we're having a very bad storm. I've never had an outage that had been announced to us.

We do not have them often. We did twice earlier this year because some one a long ways off cut the cables accidentally. Your picture is very dark.

I'd expect more unannounced power outage come election time in May here in the Philippines. Vote rigging in some parts of the country.
