So You Think You Can Fly!

Mother look, no hands!

At the time of creation, the animals, birds, insects and fish all gathered together. They were distributing wings. The sprites of the forest (they could already fly) would judge who will get which wings. They all had to answer the question "Why do you want to fly?" So, off they all went and thought and thought. They had one week to give their answer. Many came up with clever answers but some had wrong answers. The beetle came up with, "to crack the code of gravity" and he has been dooomed ever since. The eagle came up with "to fight the air currents and tame them" and he was granted strong wings that helped it float over long distances. The best answer came from the butterfly. It answered "I love my mother and I want wings so that my mother can see me fly." It was given the most beautiful pair of wings in the entire world.

@gofsey The day itself has been lovely weatherwise, but I've been busy with post-holiday chores. Mylotting now for a bit of relief.

@jaboUK I still keep thinking of your garden. Good to see you. Do you have any summer flowers in mind?
